Tigilau Ness is one of the founding fathers of roots reggae in Aotearoa. He started singing roots reggae in the mid 1970's with I - Unity. He helped found Twelve Tribes of Israel in New Zealand in the early 1980's and played in the house band as well as touring with his own band Second Power. He reformed Unity in 1992, which then became UNITY PACIFIC in 2001.
Unity Pacific celebrates the cultural heritage of all its members; Niuean, Cook Islands, European, Maori and Samoan. Unity Pacific are not to be missed live - they combine stripped back dread roots with wonderful improvisation and a venue full of good vibes every time they play.
