P-Money (real name Peter Wadams) is a hiphop DJ and Producer. He is from Papakura, one of Greater Auckland's major metropolitan areas, located on the southern boundary of Manukau City.
P-Money's initial entry into the music industry was via DJ competitions and student radio. He won turntablism competition the New Zealand DJ Championship three years in a row, and in 2001 ranked third equal at the Technics DMC World DJ Championships. His single Stop The Music also reached the top 10 of the Australian ARIAnet singles chart in April 2005. The album includes collaborations with local and international artists including world renowned artists such as Akon, Skillz, Jatis, Aasim, Capone, Sauce Money,Bobby Creekwater, Grandmaster Roc Raida, and Scribe.
His talent and hard work were recognized with the awards "Best Producer" (for his work on Scribe's multi-platinum album The Crusader) and "Songwriter of the Year" at the 2004 New Zealand Music Awards.
P-Money records for the label Dirty Records, which he co-owns. As well as Scribe, he has produced for other New Zealand artists including Deceptikonz, Che Fu, Nesian Mystik, Mareko, and King Kapisi.
